For Your Amusement: Clarkston Entertains<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Did you know that Clarkston once had an Opera House that was host to traveling musicals and lectures as well as the best place in town to hold a celebration ball or informal dance? Once there was a 40-foot-high stage complete with a painted canvas curtain that advertised all the local businesses. Now YOU can see the Opera House Curtain when you visit the 28th exhibit at the Clarkton Heritage Museum. There are also many other forms of entertainment on view such as Colonel Sydney Waldon\u2019s safari lecture notes, local movie theater playbills, Butler Holcomb\u2019s Edison Victrola and a large poster that lists all the events planned for the 4th of July celebration in 1873. This is a great exhibit for all ages!<\/p>\n\n\n
