Built in 1911 on the same site as the original Union School, the Clarkston High School educated local schoolchildren from kindergarten through the 12th grade.  Located on the bank of Parke Lake, children in classrooms could often hear the sounds of horse & buggy races being held over the frozen ice in the wintertime.
