In Front of the Lens: Our History in Photos

There is a new exhibit at the Clarkston Heritage Museum and this one is sure to catch your eye! The entire museum space has been transformed into a gallery where large photos have been hung for your enjoyment. We know you will delight in the many historic photos that depict life in Clarkston from 1870 through 1950. Here are just a few of the pictures on display: A community barn raising at the old Morgan farm, buggies and wagons traveling down Main Street, the basketball team of 1934, a picnic at the Sashabaw Church in the early 1900s, parades, graduating class photos and just about anything else you can think of. Have you ever walked through town and wondered what it looked like in 1905? Well this is the exhibit for you. So come by the Clarkston Heritage Museum and step behind the camera lens, what you see will amaze you!
