After searching day and night,
Wa-me-gan was found lifeless against a tree. He had died from injuries he received from the bear. Angry and hurt by the loss of their father,
Ke-o-qum, Mashquet, and As-a-gum sought and killed the bear. They brought the bear back to their village and used the meat to feed them for the winter.
